Gyanvani, the first educational FM channel in Kerala, which will be airing programmes on different courses, became operational from 15.04.2010 Thursday.

The channel would be different from other FM channels as it would have no advertisements, no repeat broadcast of the same dance or music, according to a press release from C P Rajasekharan, station director of the FM.

Programmes on post graduate diploma in audio programme production, post graduate diploma in Radio Prasaran and certificate course in Community Radio would also be offered.

Other programmes in the pipeline include Post graduate diploma in Plantation management and Post graduate Diploma in Teaching and Research in Management.
