The apex single window clearance committee on industry headed by
Kerala chief minister V S Achuthanandan would meet here on September
10 to take up investment proposals worth Rs 10,000 crore for consideration.
Official sources said the 11-member committee, consisting of ministers
and secretaries to various departments, was constituted to consider
sanctioning big projects involving investment of more than Rs 100
crore.
The committee would consider proposals including projects in the
IT sector, tourism and services, which had been awaiting approval
for long.
For clearing the proposals, prospective investors would be exempted
from certain provisions on merit, the sources said. The ruling LDF
had given a go-ahead for the industrialisation drive at its recent
meeting.
